Arriving and leaving
- Check-in and checkout
- Check-in is at 4 PM and checkout is at 10 AM. Check-in is self-serve with a keypad code, which we send before you arrive.
- Getting here
- The road is paved all the way to the driveway, so any car, truck or SUV can make it. It is a mountain road with curves and grades, so take it slow at night and in winter weather. Look for the blue "58" sign at the street.
- Parking
- Room for up to 3 vehicles. Neighborhood rules don't allow RVs, campers or trailers to be parked overnight.
- Before you leave
- Put dishes in the sink or dishwasher, leave trash in the indoor bins, make sure fires are out, turn off the TVs, gas fireplaces and lights, close the windows, lock the hot tub cover and lock the front door. No need to strip the beds, start laundry or run the dishwasher.

House rules
- Pets
- No pets, please.
- Parties and events
- No parties or events.
- Smoking
- No smoking or vaping indoors. Smoking is fine outdoors, away from the hot tub, with butts fully out and in the outdoor trash. Smoking indoors carries a cleaning fee of up to $500.
- Quiet hours
- 10 PM to 8 AM.
- Windows
- The windows have no screens and no roof overhang, so please keep them closed to keep rain and bugs out.
- Bears and trash
- This is black bear country. Never leave trash or food outside. Keep trash in the indoor bins, or in the bear-proof box by the driveway if they fill up.
- Laundry
- Neighborhood rules don't allow laundry or towels to be hung outside.
About the cabin
- Hot tub
- Drained, cleaned and refilled with fresh water before every stay. When another group checks out the same day you arrive, it may still be heating when you get here, and we'll tell you when it will be ready. Hot tub towels are in the bin by the lower-level door.
- Fires
- The great room and lower level have gas fireplaces on timer switches. The front porch fireplace and the fire pit burn wood, so please bring your own firewood.
- Internet and TV
- 1 Gig fiber with mesh Wi-Fi on all three levels. Six TVs, each with a Roku in guest mode so you can sign in to your own streaming apps. There's no cable TV.
- Kitchen
- Fully equipped, with a Keurig K-Duo coffee station, air fryer, Instant Pot, toaster oven, dishwasher and starter supplies of coffee, salt, pepper, foil and wrap.
- For little ones
- A pack 'n play, high chair, baby gate, kids' dinnerware and a reading nook.
- Laundry
- A washer and dryer, with detergent and dryer sheets provided.
- Power and water
- A Generac whole-home generator keeps the power on in a storm. The well water runs through two whole-house filtration systems and is safe to drink, and there's a 1,000-gallon backup water supply.
- Accessibility
- The cabin is on three levels connected by stairs and isn't wheelchair accessible.
Cameras and noise sensors
- Cameras
- Two exterior Ring security cameras are on at all times and record video and audio. One faces the main driveway. The other faces the second parking spot just past the driveway, and its view also takes in the lower walkway from the basement door toward the fire pit and the very top of the waterfall. There are no cameras inside the cabin, and none view the hot tub.
- Noise sensors
- Minut sensors measure sound levels to help everyone enjoy quiet hours. They don't record audio or video.
